Evidence Portability Framework

The Evidence Portability Framework helps mortgage servicing and credit teams define which records should remain usable when systems, providers, archives, or servicing rights change.

It is designed to work across different systems and providers, and it does not require any external standards body, certification scheme, or software purchase.

Evidence portability is not the same as having logs inside a single platform. Platform logs can be valuable; evidence portability asks whether the record still holds when work crosses systems, providers, archives, servicing transfers, and client reviews.

Data standards can help move servicing records. Evidence portability asks whether the transferred record remains complete, faithful to what happened, and reconstructable without the old platform or provider portal.

In servicing-transfer work, that means transfer instruction sets, boarded data, image or document transfer schedules, reconciliation and balancing records, notice and render evidence, delivery and exception proof, archive-match evidence, and successor-servicer reconstruction rights.

What it helps answer

Can the file still explain what happened after systems, providers, or servicing rights change?

Mortgage servicing and credit teams often have to explain an action months or years later: what triggered it, which policy applied, which template or decision path was used, which provider handled the step, and what record remains.

The framework describes the records needed for that reconstruction while staying independent of any product, certification scheme, or software purchase.

We maintain a detailed evidence-package reference for qualified buyer, partner, and counsel conversations. The detailed schema, licensed-data retention model, and implementation reference remain controlled until planned licensed-data review and schema-hardening work is complete.

What the framework covers

From decision-ready evidence to an exam-ready package

Decision-ready evidence

Keep the facts needed to explain a credit or servicing action: borrower context, trigger, policy path, exception rationale, supporting proof, conditions, and outcome.

Evidence Portability Framework

Our method for defining which records must remain usable when systems, providers, archives, or servicing rights change.

Evidence package overview

We cover why an evidence package matters and which records should remain available for later review.

Detailed reference

We share the detailed reference selectively with qualified buyers, partners, and counsel while planned licensed-data review and schema-hardening work is completed.

Implementation reference

Technical schemas, verification examples, retention model, and implementation guidance stay under review until they are ready for a future release.
